Following completion of a degree in Law and Masters degree in Business and International Law, Chris started his career in the insurance industry in 2000 and was previously the IUA’s Director of Legal, Underwriting and Claims, responsible for running IUA’s technical underwriting and claims output and external stakeholder engagement. He is also a qualified Company Secretary and was most recently appointed as the association’s Chief Executive on 1 May 2025. He also sits on the London Market Group and Acord boards and is a member of the BILA Executive Committee and several Insurance Institute of London groups. Specifically in the marine insurance sector, Chris is a member of IUMI’s Legal & Liability Committee and Policy Forum.
