Simon has close to 30 years’ experience in the Marine and Energy insurance space having held leadership positions in both underwriting and broking businesses in London and internationally during that time.

He joined Chaucer in late 2023 to assume overall leadership of Chaucer’s Marine & Energy Division globally. He spent the previous three years at McGill and Partners focusing on building out a Marine & Energy Treaty business.

Prior to that Simon held senior leadership roles at StarStone including CEO of their Lloyd’s Managing Agency as well as Global Head of Marine, Energy, Aviation and Transportation. Prior to StarStone Simon held various senior roles within Aon both in London and the Middle East including Chief Commercial Officer for Marine, Executive Director EMEA Marine and Global Head of P&I. He has also held previous Marine broking roles at Benfield Corporate Risk and Marsh and starting his insurance career as a Marine Underwriter with specialist Marine Insurer TT Club.
